This is a private, charming cottage with a spectacular beachfront location at Malagash Point. Unique for its secluded cachet, it is surrounded by trees on three sides with a frontal open view of the beautiful Northumberland Strait. The eight hundred square foot deck offers an outdoor living space with living and dining patio furniture, a gas BBQ, and a warm outdoor shower. The cottage has a spacious open concept with a wood stove in the living room plus 3 bedrooms. There is a questhouse 50 feet from the main house that has two sets of single bunkbeds and a small living/dining space.

Walk twenty steps off the large wood deck and sink your feet into soft sand, walk for kilometers of beach, swim in warm, clear water with a gently sloping shoreline and tidal pools galore. The beach is safe and ideal for the young and young at heart. You can spend leisurely hours beach combing for crabs, mussels, starfish and other amazing creatures. Seals and herons are frequent visitors. Bring your favorite water vessel and canoe or kayak off the beach or rent one from one of the locals.

Malagash is superb for walking or bicycling, with quiet, level scenic roads that lead to the local lobster fishing wharf where you can pick up fresh lobster, or to the award-winning Jost winery, where you can sample the best Nova Scotia has to offer. For others, lying in a hammock swinging in the shade at the waters edge may be as far as you want to go. Malagash offers proximity to three wonderful, oceanfront golf courses. It rests between the vibrant villages of Tatamagouche and Pugwash, and Wallace, each with local restaurants, farmer's markets, movie nights, local summer festivals, and antique stores.

As a winter retreat, Wentworth ski hill, the largest ski resort in Atlantic Canada, and home to the 2011 Canada Winter Games, is less than 30 minutes away. There are over 10 kilometers of groomed cross country trails at the top of Wentworth ski hill, and 25 km of XC ski/snowshoe trails at nearby Wentworth hostel.
