Heron Shoal Cottage is an oceanfront
vacation cottage rental secluded on 2.5
acres of Nova Scotia's scenic north coast.
The location on the Malagash Peninsula is
a "Scenic Diversion" of the Sunrise Trail.
The cottage rental is centrally located in the
Maritime Provinces, half-way between the
towns of Pugwash and Tatamagouche,
60 minutes from Truro or Amherst and
only 2 hours from Halifax or Charlottetown.

The cottage rental is a fully furnished, 1,200
square foot home, in a private setting directly
on the oceanfront. Privacy, easy access to the
beach and great views make this an excellent
location for retreat and recreation any time of
the year.

From the privacy of your seaside cottage rental
you can spend hours quietly watching the shorebirds and other wildlife in their natural habitat. The oceanfront is at your door, affording full water views
of the Northumberland Strait, the warmest salt water north of the Carolinas. Heron Shoal Cottage allows
you the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of this
Nova Scotia setting while enjoying a cool drink,
a good book or just the view. The months of May and June are lobster season on the Sunrise Trail and the lobster boats can be seen hauling in their delicious cargo directly in front of your rental cottage.
Prince Edward Island is visible across the
Northumberland Strait. The 30 million year old
rocky shore is a rich source of fossils and other
treasures delivered by the sea. You are buffered
from the world by a forest, home to deer and
many other woodland creatures. The quiet roads
of Nova Scotia's Malagash peninsula are perfect
for walking and biking. You are just a one minute
drive from the Malagash Blue Sea Beach Park,
a mile long, clean, safe beach which is ideally
suited to children and adults alike for swimming,
play or just walking on the sand bars. Most of
the time it is just you and the ocean.
